The charts include comparisons between the 7th generation and 8th generation, as well as comparing the 8th generation consoles. All sales are worldwide, unless otherwise stated.
PS4 Vs. XOne Global:
Gap change in latest month: 488,697 – PS4
Gap change over last 12 months: 5,939,135 – PS4
Total Lead: 8,577,101 – PS4
PS4 Total Sales: 20,215,802
Xbox One Total Sales: 11,638,701
In February 2015 the gap between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One grew once again in favor of the PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4 sold 488,697 more units than the Xbox One to bring the total lead to 8.58 million units. The PlayStation 4 has sold 20.22 Million units in 16 months, while the Xbox One has sold 11.64 million units.
The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One both launched in November 2013 in North America and Europe. The PlayStation 4 launched on November 15 in North America and November 29 in Europe. The Xbox One launched on November 22 in North America and Europe.

I'm still doubting these XBone sales until we get official numbers from MS. Hopefully they finally give us a solid number, and not this "almost shipped X consoles" bullcrap.
NPD reveals that X1 was undertracked, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's undertracked worldwide.
@darkenergy that's not how it works. PS4 was also undertracked but it's not undertracked worldwide. In fact, due to being undertracked in US, it's actually overtracked outside of US. But that's from 2014, not 2015. So the X1 might very well be overtracked in 2014.
