Android Market Passes 10 Billion Downloads - News

Google has announced that the Android Market has exceeded 10 billion app downloads. The current growth rate is at one billion app downloads every single month. Google can't even guess where the acceleration in growth will take them in 2012. The Android Market first reached one billion downloads in July 2010 and had tripled by March of this year. There were six billion downloads by this July.
Google is celebrating this milestone by selling some of its most popular apps for only 10 cents each. There will be new apps available each day for the next 10 days, so head on over to the app store and get some cheap apps.
