The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Has No Loading Screens - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 27 April 2015 / 6,116 ViewsThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will have no loading screens. The game will fully load when a player starts the game, and the only other time there will be loading is when a player dies or opts to fast travel.
"No, there's no loading times. Only when you actually start the game, when die and load the game, or when you fast travel," The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt senior environment artist Jonas Mattsson told GameSpot. "That fast travel loading time depends on how far you have to travel of course. If you just fast travel a little bit, it's a really short loading time.
"One of the goals we had was to keep the experience as fluid as possible. When you play, you don't want to have the loading screen because it takes you out of the game a bit. We wanted to make sure that it was as smooth as possible, one big experience. For us, that was really important. I think we achieved that because, as you said, just going in and out of a building, there's no loading time. Nothing. It's just creates this really nice experience."
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releases on May 19th on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

I hope the fast travel looks cool like a teleportation spell or something. Most games usually neglect this.
I agree completely, the last time I saw it done in that way was Fable 1
Open world, no loading - what is this witchcraft?
Man, that's so COOL!
Personally loading times are the least of my concern. Damn I just want to feel this beauty! "Shut up and take my money!"
Wow, wonder how long the load will be when you start the game. Alot of the game must be installed to the hard drive.
All of the game will be installed to the Hard Drive just like every other next gen game. If however you mean when you first start a completely new game then you'd expect the tutorial part won't be open world as such, which gives the systems more than enough time to get the data off the disc and onto the HD before the game opens up.
It also doesn't have anything good going for it
