Mass Effect 3 may be less than a year old, but we're already getting some solid info on its sequel. For starters, it looks like BioWare Montreal will be making the sequel, instead of the main team who made the original trilogy. 

The confirmation came from BioWare Montreal studio director Yanick Roy, who stated on the BioWare Blog that his team was taking the reigns on the franchise. Series director Casey Hudson will stay on as Executive Producer, however, and the Montreal team already has previous experience developing the DLC and multiplayer behind the series. 

Perhaps more interestingly, Roy announced that the game will be being made on DICE's Frostbite engine (the original trilogy was made on Unreal 3), stating that the game "will be built with the amazing technology of Frostbite as its foundation, enhanced by many of the systems that the Dragon Age III team has already spent a lot of time building." No word on whether the game would be using the Frostbite 2 iteration, or a future build for next-gen hardware. 

With this news, the next Mass Effect joins the huge slate of upcoming EA titles to use Frostbite, including Dragon Age III, Command & Conquer Generals 2, and Army of Two: Devil's Cartel.
