Atelier Escha and Logy Announced for the West, Along with Other Games - News
by Karl Koebke , posted on 20 September 2013 / 2,680 ViewsAs a pretty big Atelier fan I was starting to get a bit worried about when the latest game would be coming to the West. Atelier Ayesha was made during a transitional period for Team Gust after being bought by Tecmo Koei and I was curious to see how things would continue in the future without NISA being counted on to localize every Atelier game they can get their hands on.
Well, Tecmo Koei America has announced their lineup for early 2014 and not only can I breath a sigh of relief for Atelier Escha and Logy, but we have a couple more games to look forward to as well.
Atelier Escha and Logy for the PlayStation 3 is the first title in the series to feature a choice between two different protagonists. Those wanting the classic Atelier happy-go-lucky alchemy experience can go with Escha's storyline but if you'd like something a bit darker and more focused on classic RPG-style exploration then Logy would be a good choice.
Deception IV Blood Ties for the PSVita is a continuation of the Deception series which allows players to see what it's like to play on the side of evil. Strategy focused with a plethora of traps to exact your revenge on your foes this is a long sought after sequel for fans and I'm happy to see that it'll be coming to the West as well.
Lastly we have Toukiden for the PSVita which was meant to release sometime this year but has apparently been pushed back. Payers customize their characters and then form groups of hunters to take down demons who have invaded the world through cracks in spacetime. Toukiden is populated by characters based off of various historical periods in Japan, and you hunt things, so no wonder it's already sold 400,000 in the East; quite a feat for a new IP.
