Titanfall 2 Announced, Going Multiplatform - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 12 March 2015 / 6,005 ViewsTitanfall 2 has been announced and the game is going multiplatform, according IGN who spoke with Respawn founder and CEO Vince Zampella before the BAFTA Game Awards tonight.

"I guess EA announced a sequel, so I could play coy and pretend I don't know anything about it, or… yeah," said Zampella. "So we're working on a sequel. No official name yet, but we're working on that. That's the main focus but we're starting up a second team and doing some smaller stuff too. Small, exploratory, taking it slow! It'll be multiplatform."
"I wouldn't have done it differently," said Zampella when asked about the original's Xbox One exclusivity. "We set out to do it and it was one of our goals. I mean it obviously prohibits a certain group of people playing the game, and as content creators you want to get into as many peoples's hands as possible."
"We put some single-player elements in there though, and tried to mix it up," he added. "Maybe we could have mixed things up a bit better because some people blew right by it and didn't even see it because there was so much action happening around it. It's tough, because if you hit people over the head with it it becomes intrusive, and there are people who don't want or care about it. Where does the needle fall? I think it takes a while to figure that out and we haven't figured it out yet."

But...the first one was already multiplatform.

WHAAATTTTT???? Titanfall is no longer exclusive to Microsoft who could have seen this coming? Thank god they still have Mass Effect and Bioshock....err no....Fable sorry.
If there was ever a doubt that Titanfall would be coming to PS4 ... 20.2 million consoles sold was enough of a factor to make this happen. Very little will be exclusive to XB1 moving forward that isn't a MS 1st Party Studio. Except Minecraft which is selling more on PS4.
Hopefully they focus more on the multiplayer aspect of the game as their singleplayer wasn't really there to begin with and the game was marketed more and played more as a multiplayer game.
I'd also hope they up the textures and kil the screen tearing for the new title.
Was he drunk during that interview? His response is all rambling. What's the opposite of megaton? Damned hard to ignore 20 million install base. If they want to mix things up then they should make the best sp campaign ever for a multiplayer-centric fps. EA saw that right now the only viable CoD killer is Destiny, and Acti owns that, so EA needs Titanfall to go all platforms to have a shot at making Titanfall THE fps franchise of the generation. Best of luck to them.
at least it will be superior on PS4 for the console version.
Unless it ends up like Resi revelations 2 =P.
PC version is still going to be the definitive version though.
Make sense. PS4 is the new PS2. Domination complete.
And like that generation, I'll be on Xbox. The PS2 was a lousy console by comparison - just like the PS3, and now PS4.
Nobody give a damn about xbox 720p ^^^^. Look at worldwide sales... it's getting ugly.
Sony's just getting started.
Unless they add a decently long single player, i probably won't bother.
Good. Now everyone can accept it's a good game.
Titanfall 1 is a perfect game. There is no need to tack on a single player game that the majority of online gaming fans will ignore. Just like the single player purists say there's no need to add multiplayer to their games - the same goes vice versa.
