Activision's flagship first person shooter Call of Duty may have been sales decline in the last couple of years, but it is still the bestselling game in 2014. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has sold a combined 17.59 million units worldwide at retail, as of the week ending January 3, 2015.

The game is also the bestselling game for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PlayStation 4 has sold 6.03 million units units and is the only PlayStation 4 game to sell more than six million units. The Xbox One version has sold 4.03 million units and is also the only Xbox One game to sell more than four million units.

The last generation versions of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare have also sold well, though sales have declined by nearly two-thirds when compared to Call of Duty: Ghosts. The PlayStation 3 version has sold 3.77 million units, while the Xbox 360 version has sold 3.49 million units.

Lagging behind the other versions of the game is the PC with sales of 279,501 at retail. However, the PC is now primarily a digital market and it should have sold better digitally on the PC than at retail.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was released worldwide on November 4 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Those PS sales are mindblowing. MS should be worried and cut the price of XB1 more if they want to compete.

Best CoD MP since the first Black Ops, but the campaign was a bit of a let down and felt like Spacey phoned in his lines.

This really shows where the decline is coming from. AW has sold 10 million on One/PS4 and those systems just had their first full year. At this rate CoD will be just as big in this gen as it was in the previous gen come 2 years from now.

The PC version has 397 631 downloads on KK here in China. Really low compared to other CoD games. But illegal downloads nonetheless so it doesn't really matter for the company.

By the end of the generation all future COD games will top the software charts of both the Xbox One and PS4.

Oh really. Is that why gta 5 on ps3 sold better than any cod on ps3 or 360. Gta 6 will be the top seller.
