PlayStation 4, Xbox One Preorders Selling Out in Some Stores

There are reports that both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One pre-orders are starting to sell out in some stores. GameStop and Toys R Us have stopped taking PlayStation 4 pre-orders. Amazon is still taking PlayStation 4 pre-orders, but it won't arrive at launch unless you pre-orders bundle that comes with a game.

"Due to high demand for the system, GameStop is not currently taking additional store reservations for the PlayStation 4," GameStop said in a statement.

There are now reports that Best Buy no longer taking Xbox One pre-orders on its online store. Amazon has also stopped Day One edition Xbox One console pre-orders. You can still pre-order the standard Xbox One, but that won't arrive at launch.

Right now, the Xbox One can still be pre-ordered at retailers such as GameStop, Toys R Us and others. While the PlayStation 4 remains open for pre-order online at Amazon and Best Buy. You can still pre-order both consoles at Target and Wal-Mart.

Just like the article said, the XBOX ONE day one edition is no longer available for preorder at Best Buy and Amazon. The PS4 day one edition is no longer available for preorder at Amazon and Gamestop. Both are available at Walmart and Target still. Get them while you can because I'm sure once MS and Sony start their advertisement for these consoles, the preorders will go away that much faster. Can't wait for my new XBOX ONE and all of those nice looking exclusives at the launch/launch window (Killer Instinct, Ryse, Forza 5, DeadRising 3, Project Spark, Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive,Quantum Break, etc.).

I pre-ordered mine after e3. I just couldn't resist not playing those games (QB, KI, C dragon, DR3, halo) all in the 1st year

I preordered my Xbox One right after their E3 conference. Can't wait for November!

Day one editions sold out in US Amazon and Best Buy. I've heard Wal-Mart will be taking them down as well but not sure. It only makes sense that day one editions start to sell out as that would be the launch allotment. Though I'm sure more XB1's will be out weeks and months after launch. As I said before, if you want one why wait to pre-order one?

Wasn't it confirmed that they just didn't have many preorders out?

I'm in no rush. None of the games wow me, and Halo 5 is probably going to be awful just knowing how 343i destroyed the series in Halo 4. I am waiting to find out which system has better use of cloud and if microsoft's dedicated servers are really what they claim to be. If it's a close battle, I'm going sony because it's cheaper, but if Microsoft wow's me then I will buy a 360. I'm really not impressed with the launch titles at all, but I am still excited for next gen.

I meant xbox one, not 360.
