story: you are a passenger in an airplane that has crashed into the atlantic. you see a hugh tower and swim to it. you are now in rapture where you are part of a broken down city ran by big daddies (the coolest enamy in games), splicers, crazy doctors, ghost, gun turrets, and creepy little girls who want your adam.....but at least your dry!
presentation: well it usues the unreal engine so you know it looks good but it uses it better then anyone. the gray and brwn has been replaced with greens and blues and reds and it looks beautiful. on the 360 there isnt anything better. the water effects are the best on consoles. the atmosphere is second to none. even the sounds are pretty much perfect with the moans of the big daddies and the vending machines. the music is creepy and fits the game perfect. my only gripeis some of the voices are muted. thats my only gripe about the presetation.
control: if youve played FPS then you know the controls. they are basic. the weopons and plasmids (special powers you learn through the game such as fire and shock) are easy to switch in and out of by a press of a button, and the mini game to take over bots, turrets and such is fun and easy. think tetris.
so whats new? ; basicallyits a FPS mixed with an RPG. you have the standard pistol, machine gun, shotgun set-up. you can upgrade each gun....and you will have to. you also have plasmids which you will pick up as you go. you can have powers where you hack machines, throw things, catch things on fire ect. plus your in an inviroment where the walls are the ocean floor. there is nothing like it at all.
multiplayer: none. the only flaw in the game. but honestly, the adventure is a long one and worth taking. you will have to play it twicw to get both endings!
overall: buy as soon as possible!
