http://www.thedrmnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/gameanat.jpg says that in a game of 60$, 15$ to retail and 4$ to distribution. Aprox. 41$ profit in a 60$ game. But first week in europe the game price was 60 -70 euros. So 65 - 20% impost (average of major countries) - 25% retail (I do not know if it will be so high in Europe) = 35.75 euros => 48$ profit. I doubt it...as the holiday should have bumped it up much higher than GT4. N/E ways Sony should still be able to recoup it's initial $60M investment in GT5. However, it'll be very slim seeing how other franchises had caught up with the GT series. (ie Forza) Message | Report |

Interestingly enough in just 12 days GT5 is only 20k off of being the most shipped GT game in Asia, and probably be #1 by the time Polyphony update their shipment page next quarter. Very disapointed by this game. 1000+ cars, but in fact bunch of same vehicles with different specs. Some huge classic missing (Lb Diablo, F50, F355, F360, CLK GTR, Carrera GT [Still no porches]) but some awesome old school cars and prototypes. Awful vegitation and slow menus. It's going to be a slow burner. No doubt it will not do shabby first week WW (1.5 million is my guess) but it will have great legs. For a PS3 game that is, nothing crazy like Kart Wii. Here's hoping Sony are smart and make sure this is released for the holiday season 09' so the PS3 will have a bumper holiday sales spike and push it closer to the numbers the console should be selling, it is a great console! Message | Report |

You cant ge this anymore - not on the EU store anyway, I deleted the game then couldnt find it - luckily its in my downloads list so i can just re download. It was a great game for free though - cant expect too much for a price of 0 Message | Report |
