Create a 3D Dot Game Heroes Character Now - News

EU fans of 3D Dot Game Heroes have a pleasant surprise headed their way today.

If you go to the Southpeak Interactive website, you can use a rudimentary version of the game's character creator in order to test out your "pixel placing" skills.

While you won't be able to import the character into the game itself, as the game's actual character creator is much more robust, you can still create an animated avatar for use in forums and other locations.

3D Dot Game Heroes

Here's what Southpeak says:

"To help gamers prepare for all this thrilling and potentially life-changing (seriously, it’s that good) customisation, SouthPeak Games has launched a simple online character designer. It’s just a taste of the in-depth editing system in 3D Dot Game Heroes but gives you the opportunity to let your creative juices flow and you can even save your hero as an animated forum avatar, an image to add a dash of retro to your Facebook or Twitter page and a desktop wallpaper."

It looks like the online application is currently EU only, but if you switch up the web address to ".com" rather than ".eu," it simply gives the text: "atlus page." This seems to indicate that the North American publisher Atlus will have the same thing coming soon. But there's no reason North American users can't tinker around in the character creator anyway.

3D Dot Game Heroes comes out on May 14th in the EU and May 11th in North America.

Let us see your best creations!

I like oldschool games but this lame attempt at a game doesn't interest me. I made an FF character using the editor, then got bored.
