PS 5 will raise this number by millions!
That's insane this game continues to grow by at least a million every quarter!
Easily Microsoft's best release this generation and probably made the most money. I'm sure Forza Horizon 6 is coming around the corner.
Millions and millions... on PS5 as well.
Best racer ever made, through I loved 4 more, 5 is no exception
It's going to be hard to outsell GT on a Playstation platform.
Horizon series isn't a direct competitor though
For now at least, there was an insider a few years ago who claimed that Polyphony's next GT game after GT7 is open world and designed to compete against Forza Horizon.
in terms of player count this is by far the biggest console exclusive in the west and yet MS is giving it away.. absurd..
"giving it away" is not entirely true. The $100 Premium Edition of the game is the number 1 pre-order on the PS Store. So they'll be making a lot of money on this port.
I've already accepted what Xbox's business strategy is. PlayStation/Nintendo focuses on exclusivity to continue to push their platforms while Xbox focuses on affordability and convenience. Affordability being Game Pass, that also allows you to stream on nearly every possible device, and a cheaper console option, then Convenience that includes their Play Anywhere program where you buy a game on console and you get to play that game on PC at no additional cost and vice versa. They've really pushed Play Anywhere a LOT when they launched their "This is an Xbox" marketing. Play Anywhere and Game Pass are both also being included on Blizzard's battle.net PC launcher.
While simultaneously planting their flag as the biggest third party publisher on competitor platforms. Yeah it sucks that they're done with exclusivity and pulling out of properly competing in the traditional way, but seeing how expensive gaming is becoming, Xbox is setting themselves up for long term financial health. Whether that includes a console in the long term, who knows.
They were literally charging $100 for early access on a 4 Year old game. That's not giving it away.
Is it saying much? Alot of people tried it on gamepass and stopped playing. I tried it out for 2 weeks. Or is this active user count?
Good stuff after heavy discounts on pc and Xbox!
GAMEPASS numbers is the majority of those numbers
Oh if only that were true. Not sure if you're aware of this, but 45 million is over 10 million more than the number of Game Pass subscribers combined. And FH5 isn't even on 2 of those 4 Game Pass tiers. It's okay to admit when the occasional Xbox game is that popular. This is a safe space :)
The number of gamepass subscribers is not static. At different times, different players were subscribed to gamepass. It could be at least 50-60+ million
The majority being gamepasss isn't a bad thing. That's the whole point of the service lol. Even then, this exceeds Game Pass numbers so I think it's safe to say 10+million is sales.
