I saw a video talking about how incredibly optimized the game is. At least on PC. This was a major hindrance of the first game. Guy was running the game at native 1080p resolution, no upscaling tech at all (not that it existed yet) and low settings on a GeForce 1060 (from Summer 2016) and he was getting a consistent 60fps at all times!!! THAT'S optimization! We don't need AI and machine learning to improve performance, we need optimized games!
Warhorse are quickly becoming one of my favorite studios. First game reminded me of what I loved about golden era Bethesda, even had the Bethesda bugs xD, but the sequel appears to be polished to a shine, story appears to have been drastically improved, and the golden era Bethesda aspects appear to be greatly improved and built upon. Can't wait to hop back in!
And the big publishers who seek to reduce the gaming experience down to a simplistic, easily digestible mush that on paper should appeal to everyone continue to get kicked in the teeth by passionate developers that understand their audience.
You mean the 2 writers that entered the project in 2022 and 2023 (one ex writer of SW Old Republic and one ex writer of Mass Effect 2) who are also working with the lead writer of Ghost of Tsushima (who also worked in Star Wars old republic) and writers from Middle earth shadow of war, Horizon Forbidden West and the Outer Worlds? Because it sounds fun indeed lol ... unless the "problem" here is that the mc is a woman, but that is crazy. Right?
