
Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Remaster Reportedly Mentioned in Rockstar Launcher - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 05 October 2021 / 1,843 ViewsIt was rumored Rockstar Games was developing remasters for three classic Grand Theft Auto titles - Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas - and recently Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was rated in Korea. It was also reported to have a release sometime in November.
The Rockstar Launcher has been updated and the code has made reference to the Grand Theft Auto trilogy remaster, according to images posted on GTAForums.
There are images showing icons of the three games in the trilogy remaster with a gold outline that were discovered. There are also images of what appears to icons for achievements.

If they have actually remade the games in unreal engine I would be impressed. Was expecting a lazy cash grab here.
They've probably just converted the games to use Unreal Engine because they think it's easier than upgrading their old engine to support what's expected from remasters on new consoles, but I bet they're still going to look exactly like your typical remasters. The most recent Doom releases (and I mean the 90s games), for example, use Unity, which is extremely capable graphically. The fact that an engine can do impressive stuff doesn't mean that games running on it do.
