Nintendo's Punch-Out!! on the Wii is shaping up to be quite the fighter. With style true to the series from the very beginning and arcade style fights, Punch-Out will alleviate some of those Summer no games blues. Here are new images of the vs mode and single player, needless to say it's looking good. If it turns out half as addictive as the classic, gamers are in for a treat come May.

I don't think they'll have Tyson as he's in Fight Night IV, but the game is suppose to have like 17 boxers, which is a decent amount. I want to be able to play as any boxer on the list. If Nintendo does this it will definitely be worth a purchase. Imagine playing as Joe Glass and actually winning the title? lol!! I'll probably pick this up when it launches.

Mr. Dream of course. Mike Tyson only had a short lived contract for the original NES game. He hasn't been in once since and probably never will again.

Excellent.

This alleviates any the concern that I had before, that Nintendo was ignoring the core gamer. Some part of me always knew that Nintendo still respected its fans, despite what the internet was spewing.

There may be different difficulty levels but it still appears to be a quality product. This game looks like a core game, not a "mass market" attempt to downgrade the quality of the game so that unqualified people can play it, at the expense of people who are seasoned veterans of gaming.

Those meters are definitely not for holding your breath. I think they are for when you can change into Giga Mac (big guy in the 5th screen). However, I really don't know and that is my best guess.
