Microsoft has added BioShock, BioShock 2 and BioShock: Infinite to the long list of Xbox 360 games that are playable on the Xbox One through Backward Compatibility.

Other recent games include Shadowrun, Burnout Paradise, Rayman Legends, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Bayonetta, Call of Duty 2, and Red Dead Redemption.

I'm actually somewhat surprised by this. After the remastered collection, I didn't expect anything like this to happen. Anyway, I'm not complaining, since this is obviously good news. The only minor nitpicking I might have is that this was added relatively shortly after the collection was released. ;P

Out of curiosity I just tried Bioshock 1 on X1 BC. I like playing those games with the frame limiter off because it feels smoother and more responsive, but you get terrible screen tear on 360. On X1 BC though, you get the performance boost without the screen tear. So these are games that appear to be better on X1 BC.

I havent played Bioshock 1 and 2 before. Maybe I should buy them now that they're B/C

Are they as good as Bioshock infinite? Really loved that game, so are both of them very similar?

There's some similarities but also differences. Some people like the first two more (me), others prefer Infinite. Play them and decide for yourself. The setting alone is justifiable for purchase.
