Mojang Increasing the Price of Minecraft in Some Regions - News

"If you haven’t bought Minecraft yet, it might be worth purchasing in the next week if your pocket money allowance isn’t aligned with the United States Dollar. You could end up saving yourself a pretty penny," said Mojang's Owen Hill.
"You may notice that some regions don’t have an old price listed below. That’s because Minecraft hasn’t been on sale in that currency yet. Welcome to the fold, Japan, Korea, and Brazil."

So an increase in the cost of Xbox live for some regions, increase in the cost of Minecraft in regions, it's pretty clear that MS aims to keep its gaming revenues up not by winning back customers but by charging more to the ones it has currently. Bad form in my opinion.
More like most regions instead of some regions. And those are some pretty hefty increments too!
