Our Game of the Year awards may have come and gone, but 2012 was such a good year that it deserves some more reflection. Back in December, all of our editors got together to vote for what we considered the best games of the year, but which games actually scored the highest in our reviews? We decided to make a neat little list, gathering our best reviewed games of the year.
It should be noted that each game's individual review score is chosen by the single reviewer, hence why it may not seem to correspond with our 2012 Game of the Year Awards (our official 2012 Game of the Year, Journey, isn't even on the list below!). As fun as review scores are, it's impossible to quantify the whole of a game's experience into a single numerical score, as hard as we try. With that being said, read on to find out our top-rated games of 2012.
