Most Anticipated Game of 2015 - Article
by VGChartz Staff , posted on 13 January 2015 / 5,924 ViewsWe gamers are an insatiable bunch. No matter how many current top-of-the-line games we have to play, no matter how humongous our backlogs may be, or even how many older games regarded as classics we have yet to tackle, we are always looking out for what’s just over the horizon. As we recognize what we think were the best games of 2014 we also look ahead and acknowledge the games we cannot wait to play in 2015.
After poring over screenshots and ogling over gameplay trailers we are ready to share what we here at gamrReview are most excited to play in this new year. Though our list may contain a number of familiar faces, there are also a couple of colorful and ambitious new IPs represented, making for a very eclectic list of games for which we already have our calendars marked.
The Nominees Are:
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

And the Winner is…

After years of consistently excellent releases Atlus’ Persona franchise has grown from a title with niche appeal to one of the hottest JRPG series out there. Very little is known about Persona 5 other than that it will once again be set in a Japanese high school and its thematic color is red, but it’s been a long six years since the last numbered Persona entry hit consoles with the excellent Persona 4 on the PS2 back in 2008, so you can understand why our anticipation for it has reached a fever pitch.
At last year’s TGS Atlus confirmed that Persona 5 will be a cross-gen release, launching on both PS3 and PS4; the first mainline Persona titles on both platforms. After multiple spin-offs, re-releases, and anime tie-ins related to Persona 4 we're more than ready for a brand new, fully-fledged Persona adventure. As evoked by the game’s intriguing promotional art, we can imagine Persona 5 having us chained to our consoles and TV screens when it launches sometime in 2015.
