Elden Ring Tarnished Edition Debuts on the Japanese Charts, Switch 2 Sells 22K - Sales

Rhythm Heaven Groove (NS) has remained in first place on the retail charts in Japan with sales of 34,688 units, according to Famitsu for the week ending August 30, 2026. 

Elden Ring Tarnished Edition (NS2) debuted in second place with sales of 27,604units.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 (PS5) debuted in 3rd place with sales of 12,691 units. The Switch 2 version debuted in sixth place with sales of 8,624 units and the Switch version debuted in eighth place with sales of 5,590.

Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster (NS2) debuted in seventh place with sales of 6,386 units.

Captain Tsubasa II: World Fighters (NS) debuted in 10th place with sales of 4,384 units.

Splatoon Raiders (NS2) took fourth place with sales of 11,891 units and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream (NS) is in fifth place with sales of 10,883 units. Minecraft (NS) is in ninth place with sales of 4,468 units.

The Nintendo Switch 2 was the best-selling platform with 22,265 units sold. The Switch 1 sold 8,847 units, the PlayStation 5 sold 7,351 units and the Xbox Series X|S sold 298 units.
