Last week saw Rockstar Games released an extended look at the highly anticipated game Grand Theft Auto VI.

Nielsen HQ data reported by The Game Business revealed sales for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S increased last week by 33 percent and 34 percent, respectively, compared to the prior week.

Nintendo Switch 2 sales saw rose by about a third due to the price increase that occurred this week on September 1.

Hardware sales in the UK through July are down 14.4 percent year-on-year. This is mainly due to the PlayStation 5, which is down 32 percent. Xbox Series X|S are actually up 3.1 percent.

Grand Theft Auto VI will launch for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19.

Feel bad for all those people having to pay those prices. This is the first generation ever where getting a console at launch, or within the first couple years, was actually the cheapest option.

Glad I got the PS5 when I did.
Also jumped to get the NS2 not even six months after its release, due to a great deal, because of the potential price increases, and it sure didn't take long to prove to be case too.

Keep an eye on Black Friday deals, that's when I got mine.
It got under 4000 several times starting there last year, got mine from Amazon and it was 3300 with a Switch themed headset worth 200, so technically 3100 if I sell that, which was an unexpected great deal so early on.

Get into discount groups on Telegram, Whatsapp or the likes, download Promobit, Pelando, etc, and keep an eye on it on Black Friday, you gotta be ready to buy fast if a good deal pops up tho.

If you are comfortable with Chinese sellers you are likely to find good deals regardless, saw some close to what I paid during Black Friday during Christmas popping up on Aliexpress/Shopee but I don't know enough about reputable chinese sellers to bet on such pricey stuff tho.

I still don't know what strike of luck I had to find, before release, a NS2 for a price so cheap that, even adding the price of MKW (R$500 at the time), it would still be cheaper than the price of the bundle.
I believe that the price of the base model was lowered because everyone was buying the bundle, but it was still a lucky find.

No. But, I think the relatively slow sales in the second half of the current generation might provide a little tiny early bump to the next gen. It won't be a big enough thing that we'll be able to see it in the numbers though
