Sony Interactive Entertainment announced the open-world action-adventure game, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, has sold 4.1 million units as of December 31, 2020. The figure includes sales on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales released for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on November 12, 2020. It was published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and developed by Insomniac Games.

The original Spider-Man on the PlayStation 4 has sold over 20 million units worldwide.

In the latest adventure in the Marvel’s Spider-Man universe, teenager Miles Morales is adjusting to his new home while following in the footsteps of his mentor, Peter Parker, as a new Spider-Man.

But when a fierce power struggle threatens to destroy his new home, the aspiring hero realizes that with great power, there must also come great responsibility. To save all of Marvel’s New York, Miles must take up the mantle of Spider-Man and own it.

Impressive considering it only covers until December 31st!

This should keep selling and cross 10 million units along the way.

Those are some serious numbers. I wonder how many were sold on PS4 and on PS5 separately.

I would think that a whole lot of PS5 owners have this game. Maybe 1/3 of them, or more.

So in 49days it sold 4,1m units? Thats like 84,000 units sold pr day.

It won't sell like that though. This covers the holiday sales period. Sales in January and beyond will be much lower.

And I still havent gotten my copy yet. Need to find a ps5 first. I can get it on ps4 but the chance of playing the game at 60 fps is too much for me.
