Call of Duty Debuts in 1st on the Japanese Charts, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S Launch - Sales

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (PS4) has debuted on the top spot on the retail charts in Japan with sales of 84,475 units, according to Famitsu for the week ending November 15.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (PS4) debuted in second place with 45,055 units sold.

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin (NS) debuted in third place with 32,906 units sold. The PS4 version debuted in seventh with 22,955 units sold. 

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (PS4) debuted in eighth place with 22,882 units sold.

Five of the top 10 games are for the Nintendo Switch, four for the PlayStation 4, and one for the PlayStation 5.

The PlayStation 5 was the best-selling platform with 118,085 units sold in its launch week, while the Xbox Series X and S sold 20,534 units in week one. The Nintendo Switch sold 116,267 units, the PS4 sold 2,974 units, the 3DS sold 497units and the Xbox One sold 25 units.

The PS5 barely outsold the Switch on launch week, and only had one game in the Top 10. I'm not sure if that's good for the PS4/Switch or bad for the PS5.
