The Adventures of Tintin Game Announced for Consoles and PC - News

Microids has formed a partnership with Moulinsart to develop and publish a game based on the comic book series The Adventures of Tintin for consoles and Windows PC.
"We are extremely happy to work on this co-production!" said Microids CEO Stephane Longeard. "We have been willing to make this happen for quite some time. This announcement is the result of a creative process allowing us to define precisely how this project will take shape and the two companies will interact.
"This really is a dream come true for us. The Adventures of Tintin transported millions of readers worldwide and this opportunity will allow us to put our talents at the service of one of the biggest creators of the 20th century and its inked hero: Our team members are fans of the famous reporter and will do their best to pay this franchise a vibrant homage. We can’t wait to kick-off this project!"
Moulinsart director Nick Rodwell added, "The upcoming PC and consoles video game inserts itself pretty well in the legacy of the most famous reporter’s adventures. Our ambition is to provide a mainstream audience with a fun and friendly game for everyone to enjoy. Microids is for us the ideal partner to bring to life this new Tintin’s adventure."

This new action-adventure game will transport the player into a whirlwind of incredible situations and suspense hand in hand with the legendary Tintin and Snowy characters. Other iconic characters will join the cast like the renowned captain Haddock, fond of fine whiskey and sophisticated slurs, the genius professor Calculus and the finest detectives Thomson & Thompson.
After navigating all seas, exploring numerous continents, doing some deep sea diving in a submarine and even walking on the Moon, the most famous reporter is ready for some brand new interactive adventures.

I am cautiously optimistic about this. I like Tintin and Microids sometimes pushes some real gems. Fingers crossed!
Excellent. I always loved reading and watching Tin Tin as a kid. I was lukewarm with the CG movie, but I'm happy to see the franchise coming to the games market, and action adventure genre no less, which has me interested.
Part of me really hopes they'd use the TV series theme for the game, but it's an aged tune, and I doubt it'd fit well with the current times.
Loved the old cartoons and even got some of the comics as well, which was not easy as I live in Romania, and in the early 90's stuff like those were hard to come by :-D Still re-read every one I could find at least a couple of dozen times :-) I hope this turn out to be enjoyable.
Y'know, I think I'll take a shot at re-watching the entire series all over again, before it launches, just to get that nostalgia factor back.
Tin Tin was definitely one of the greats of the past century. It is a shame that some of the VA's from the tv show have passed on though, as it would've been a real treat to have some of the VA's return.
