Sales for the Nintendo Switch in France has hit a new milestone, according to Le Figaro. The hybrid console sold 1.13 million units in 2018 to bring its lifetime total in the country to 2.04 million units. Sales during the holiday season were on par with the Wii, with weeks where it sold over 100,000 units.

Nintendo's other platform, the 3DS, continues to decline as it sold 254,000 units in 2018, down from 507,000 units in 2017. The handheld has sold 5.5 million units to date.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the third best-selling game in 2018 on the combined platforms chart at retail. It sold 700,000 units in 2018 and has sold 1.2 million units to date.

Super Mario Party, Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee!Super Mario Odyssey, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate have sold more than 400,000 units lifetime.

Wow look at those MK8D sales with an attach rate above 50%! Not bad for a Wii U port!

Even moreso if you consider that France is one of the very few countries where the Switch sold at least moderately well ( = sold on par with the XBO there until 2016)

Yeah, France seems to be Nintendo's strongest market in Europe.

So according to the yearly chart Swutch currently stands at slightly over 1.6M at the beginning of December (or is it up to December 8 at this point?), meaning it needs to sell about 400K until the end of the year if the tracking was correct up to then.

And looking at the software, this means that both MK8D and SMP need to sell over 200K in the last weeks, and if the PLG are not added up but counted separately then Pikatchu needs close to 200k and Eeevee even at least 230K to reach 400K. Smash reaching over 400K was a given really with a 500K shipment

Finally, looking at Le Figaro, Nintendo says that they had several weeks over 100K sales during the holiday season "like during the Wii days"

Sales rankings:
MK8D: 3rd with a total of 1.2M (500k last year)
SMP: 5th
PLG: 7th
SMO: 8th
SSBU: 9th
All of them over 400K physical sales, meaning digital is not counted in just yet.
