Where are the 3DS naysayers? I want to see them right now.

While the 3DS is doing very well (I never doubted it would) theres no question the priccing and the release date with the severe lack of any half decent game was a mistake, when Nintendo fixed these problems the 3DS thrived.

However, Nint could have spared themselves of a great deal of headache and also avoided loosing some money if they had launched the 3DS some months latter and at the correct price.

The winner this holiday: The 3DS.

It's odd to see Gears of War 3 not make the list when titles like The Elder Scrolls, Uncharted, and Battlefield all sell in the 230-500k weekly range. Gears 3 is awesome, why are sales so flimsy? Cool for 3DS, solftware is so close to beating DS. I hope it can pull it off before christmas, even if it's just for 1 week.

Since the new VGC i just don't see the 2011 sales up to now, I was following the SW sales battle between 360 and PS3, 360 won every year since launch, but this year the battle was close up to MW3 release at least, now the 360 seems to take the lead. Does VGC plan to come back the yearly to date page ?

Sony made a big mistake handing over Xmas to nintendo

Indeed they did. They had a chance to close the handheld gap by releasing the Vita sooner back when the 3DS was struggling a little, but they didn't and now they 3DS is flying.

They most likely planned the price drop in anticipation of the Vita Christmas release, and therefore knew well ahead of time that Sony would likely be pricing themselves out of the market. I mean the market majority that thinks 250$ is too dear.

Not sure how I feel about the MH series, I've only played one game and I didn't really get into it that much. Maybe I'll try this one out.
