Two of the biggest games of the year launched this week. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has smashed all records selling a combined 4.4 million in EMEAA. This is up 400,000 (10%) compared to Call of Duty: Black Ops the previous record holder.
The other big debut this week is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which sold 950,000 in its first two days on sale. It is up massively over The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion which only managed to sell 106,000 in EMEAA during its scattered launch.
Other games include Just Dance 3 which sold another 95,000 copies and Uncharted 3 (PS3) which moved 150,000 units in its second week, a drop of 361,000 (-71%). Expect hardware to continue to increase across the board, with the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 getting the biggest boost.

Considering MW3 actually had a bit smaller launch in the UK this time I think the PS3 version will have a larger share than last year in EMEAA as a whole

According to the new MW3 sales article, VGC don't agree...wtf massive growth for 360 version in EMEAA while PS3 version grew almost not at all. Makes no sense considering PS3 is whooping the 360 in EMEAA

So, worldwide, about 330,000 for this week? Not bad at all considering the two outta three of the biggest games this year just launched.
Plus, if VGC is accurate, it's on par with UC2's 2nd week. So larger 1st week and about the same for the 2nd week. UC3 sales look to be very nice.

i couldn't miss this. UC3 does great as does sky rim. looking forward to the hardware sells being posted.
Uncharted 3 sales definitely affected by the release of other big hitters: skyrim, mw3, battlefield etc. I'm a big fan of uncharted but, I'm getting skyrim first. I think youl find a lot of other people that are buying other games instead.

Uncharted 3 didn't do bad despite it being launched right next to MW3 and Skyrim although it still looks undertracked
I don't think the UC3 drop is that bad tbh. Much more front loaded so this drop is to be expected.
