Naughty Dog studio head Neil Druckmann in a blog post announced the full reveal for Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will happen in 2027.
"The team is heads down on what is shaping up to be Naughty Dog’s most ambitious game yet," said Druckmann.
"There’s an electricity around the studio right now as all the pieces come together, and we’re stoked to finally unveil Intergalactic in all its glory. But…we need to cook for just a little bit longer.
"So we want to set expectations: we’re going to be quiet for the rest of this year. In 2027, that changes. We’ll fully reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and give you a proper look at Jordan’s wild sci-fi adventure.
"We know it’s been a long time since we’ve had much to share with you. We don’t take your continued support for granted. We’re working incredibly hard to make something worthy of your patience. Until then... Endure & Survive!"

What difference does a digital release matter to you anyways? All you had for over a year was a digital PS5 and bought hundreds of digital games to begin with according to you. I do agree that it will suck if the game doesn't get a 2027 release date, though, thereby not getting a physical release unless Sony does a 180° on their current plans. Sony killing off physical games is something actually worth complaining about.

His entire presence on this site seems to be sharing some negative take on any and all gaming news. I can’t think of more than a handful of times where I come across an article where he hasn’t posted something extremely negative. Really can’t comprehend why some people approach life with such an attitude, it has to get exhausting at a point.
I really hate when studios announce games years before they plan to actually launch the game.

Naughty Dogs and Santa Monica Studio delivering games in the same year would be fucking epic! Two of the best studios in the market!
That did happen in 2013 with God of War Ascension and The Last of Us.
I won't buy any game neil druckmann is involved in; I hope Naughty Dog returns to its old, productive days.
Really hope it still makes into 2027, or Laufey may be the last Sony game still on disc.
Kinda hoping for more by now. I know the lead actor said their side was wrapped up which means potential 8-12 months finishing things up but we've still only had original brand filled trailer and this. Want to see if it's going to be generic hack and slash, soulslike or something different.
But then there is always the Ad Awards.
