The EMEAA Preview: 10/22 Edition (Batman: Arkham City) - News

by William D'Angelo , posted on 25 October 2011 / 5,489 Views

For the purposes of this article, all data used is preliminary and may differ from final numbers.

Batman: Arkham City is the biggest debut this week with sales well over 550,000 combined. This is more than double Batman: Arkham Asylum which sold 260,000 first week. The other big debut this week is Football Manager 2012 (PC) which sold around 150,000. This is down from last years version of the game which sold 287,000 in its first week.

Forza Motorsport 4 (X360) dropped 140,000 (-50%) to 140,000 sold in its second week. Just Dance 3 (Wii) sales held up nicely, with a drop of just 8,000 (-10%) to 75,000 sold. FIFA 12 sold another 250,000 combined which is down just under 100,000 compared to last week.

All hardware should see a nice lift this week as the biggest games are now releasing and since the holidays are now around the corner.

yeah i think it's a shame. i have nothing against gt but this game is a good as gt and they deserve the same sales. forza will never reach high sales even with a 100 metascore :(

Not surprising to see Forza drop so much considering how much batman increased.

not sure what's the problem with Forza 4 sales since it released earlier few weeks than Forza 3(Forza 3 released date was close to November)

"dropped 140,000 (-50%) to 140,000 sold in its second week. "

What kind of wizardry is this? Dropped 140 and sold 140! xD

Also, i dont think its a bad thing.
