Two Million Pokemon Black and White Units Sold in US over Two Weeks

Nintendo has announced via Twitter that Pokémon Black and White has officially sold two million units plus in just two weeks in the US, marking another home run for the latest paired release in the hit series. The high sales figures come even with a total change of scenery in the new region of Unova, a massive overhaul of the wild population of Pokémon reworked from the ground up, and new mechanics like seasonal changes and triple battles.
The Big N wouldn't elaborate on the sales between the standalone packages or the DSi special edition consoles with their varying representations of either Reshiram or Zekrom, two legendary Pokémon. In any case, the sales figures mark a powerful (albeit delayed) echo of similar movement of retail sales in Pokémon's motherland – Media Create has already pegged the most recent sales figures at 5 million plus in Japan alone.
That being said, the massive success of Pokémon Black and White across varying markets is sure to keep fans busy with 150 new Pokémon to catch, although many prior species will have to be imported from prior versions in order to use certain fan favorites from before due to the reworked population of wild Pokémon.
