wow, I didn't know uncharted was popular in Japan! good to see them embracing such a great game

I'm surprised by the Okami numbers. It should make it to 25k first week and eventually leg it out to 40k and almost complete the 1st shipment (42.25k). Probably ~6.5k 2nd week. Uncharted 2 did great with 70% in the first day alone. Hope it does well.

@jankazimierz: Because in the nearest past the people did believe the urban legend that the 360 multiplatform games look´s better on the 360, at the beggining (maybe around 2007 that was right) but right now that urban legend is no more true.

"2009, the year PS3 games started to sell massively!" Agreed, It looks like some multiplatform software is starting to sell more on the PS3 than 360, even with a smaller user base. Examples include: Fifa Soccer 10, Need for Speed Shift, Batman Arkham Asylum (I know the 360 still sells more of other multiplatform games, but it used to be that the 360 ALWAYS sold more mp games, the point i am making is that some mp's are selling more on the PS3 now than the 360)

At least XanderZane has given up pretending he's unbiased. You get 2 games selling under 10k each and apparently Japanese gamers are finally embracing the 360.

UC2 did well for 1st day sales. I'm surprised to see XBox 360 games even on the chart. Amazing. Guess Japanese gamers are starting to embrace the American console more and more. Still their exclusive could have sold a bit better. When you look at other exclusives on Wii (SMK, Wii Sports, Wii Fit, DQ IX, etc) and XBox 360 (Halo 3, Halo ODST, Gears 2, Fable 2, Left 4 Dead, etc) you wonder why Sony's exclusive haven't sold as well as they've been rated. Besides MGS IV. Most of the PS3 exclusives have sold below what was expected.

Go Okami Go!! Decent start for a great game that is made even better with the wiimote controls. Makes me happy to see it getting attention again :)

First day sales of 47000 for Uncharted 2 seem even more impressive when you consider that the lifetime sales of original Uncharted were 80000 in Japan. Nippon Banzai

Nice sales for Okami, I'm sure Okamiden will sell very well. Uncharted 2 sales are above expectation.

Okami actually did way better than I expected. (<10K for the week) Uncharted 2 should exceed my expectation as well. (50-55K for the week)

For a port of a two or three year old game, Okami did very well. It's not a brand new game or anything, wth! lol! Uncharted did very well.

So Uncharted 2 initial shipment might sell out when the whole week is in? Not Bad!

Uncharted did surprisingly good for Japan

The original Okami did about 65k first week. Not impressed. I'm impressed by Uncharted 2 though. That did way better than most people expected.

Good sales for Okami. I picked up Okami (includes a free soundtrack cd which is a nice bonus) as well as Beatmania IIDX 16 this week.

SONY advertised U2 well there, 70% sell through on first day and 47k sold, that's good

Better start for Uncharted 2 than I expected, should easily cross the 100k mark in Japan. Okami Wii did also did pretty well, should at least make the top 10 next week.

Well, I'm happy for every sold copy of Okami. It's an amazing game.

Some of the games are in bold, because the source is Nintendoeverything, so they highlight the nintendo games.

Okami didn't completely bomb. Maybe Okamiden generated some hype. Still too low for such a game, though.
