Developer Studio MDHR has announced Cuphead has sold more than three million units across all platforms.

To celebrate the milestone, the game has been discounted by 20 percent on the Xbox One and Steam for the next two days.

The Delicious Last Course DLC will launch in 2019.

Cuphead is available now for the Xbox One and Windows PC.

Well done! Impressive numbers, indeed! So, when's the sequel?

Right now the whole studio is working on the DLC supposedly, which releases sometime next year. I wouldn't expect to see the sequel until early next, the first game took them 7 years to develop and they won't even start on the sequel until next year. I'm sure they'll develop the sequel faster than the first game, but I wouldn't expect the development cycle to be less than 3 years for it. So 2022 is my best guess.

Good numbers for sure, but wasn't 2 million announced like a month after launch? Can't remrmber the exact time frame, but I know it didn't take long to hit that mark, which means it took several months to sell another million. Not trying to down the game, but I wonder why it's sales slowed down so much?
