
Far Cry 5 Will Have Microtransactions, Campaign Playable Offline - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 19 March 2018 / 3,305 ViewsWith the release of Far Cry 5 next week it has been revealed the game will offer offer microtransactions. However, executive producer Dan Hay told GameSpot that what the game offers is "generous."
"We've set the game up to be generous," Hay said. "We've set the game up so...nothing is locked [away]. You can go out and explore, and the game will reward you for your exploration."
Ubisoft in a statement added that microtransactions will be for cosmetic items only and will not affect gameplay. They will be available for the campaign and multiplayer.
The publisher also revealed that the campaign would be playable offline and would not require an internet connection.
Far Cry 5 will launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC on March 27.

"Campaign Playable Offline" it's so sad they need to clarify that, that is how it has to be.
Not on PC with Denuvo and other layers of DRM Ubisoft will have piled on top.

Makes no difference to me. I want this game NOW! But I can wait for a discount - Sea of Thieves is presently my life!
Everybody shoots at microtransactions (I would have lost faith in humanity otherwise...) but everybody's praising dlc... I don't get this nonsense since both are totally shameless scams to make players pay for things we don't have to pay.
