Metal Gear Solid: Legacy Collection Announced - News
by Jake Weston , posted on 22 April 2013 / 2,529 ViewsFollowing rumors that struck the internet a few days ago, Konami has officially announced the Metal Gear Solid: Legacy collection, featuring eight titles in the long-running stealth-action series as well as a few extras.
The PS3-exclusive collection's contents are as follows:
- Metal Gear Solid (The PSX version, though it is unclear whether this collection will include a physical copy or merely a download voucher.)
- Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions
- Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance HD
- Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence HD (which includes the original MSX titles Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake)
- Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (with trophies!)
- Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD (the PS3 port of the originally PSP exclusive title)
Furthermore, the collection will also include two graphic novels by Ashley Wood, bridging together various entries in the saga.
Anyone who has stuck around gamrReview long enough knows that Metal Gear is my favorite series of all time, so I'm immensely excited for this collection (though it's still mildly frustrating that Portable Ops remains the only main entry to not yet make it to home consoles).
No word on when the collection will release, though my personal guess is sometime this summer, keeping in tradition with the release dates for previous Metal Gear games.
