Overview
There is one game in the top 40 to be in its final week: Bayonetta 2 (WiiU).
Two games have 200,000 or more pre-orders, the same as last week, and the top 10 has 100,000 or more pre-orders, up from nine last week. Six games added 20,000 or more pre-orders, up from two last week and eight added 10,000 or more, up from six last week.
Games in Final Week Before Launch
Bayonetta 2 (WiiU) added 23,758 pre-orders for a grand total of 83,186. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 100,000 to 150,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 700,000 and 900,000 lifetime in the US at retail.
Major Performers in the U.S. – Week Ending October 25
The Evil Within (PS4) sales are expected to drop to around 40,000 units in its second week on sale. The Xbox One version is expected to drop to around 20,000 units. The Xbox 360 version is expected to drop to around 15,000 units. The PlayStation 3 version is expected to drop to around 12,000 units.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel (X360) sales are expected to drop to around 40,000 units in its second week on sale. The PlayStation 3 version is expected to drop to around 15,000 units.
Other Hot Games – In Order of Release
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (XOne) added 25,053 pre-orders, up from 12,184 last week, for a total of 257,817. The PlayStation 4 version added 17,273 pre-orders, up from 8,520 last week, for a total of 192,251. Xbox 360 version added 17,194 pre-orders, up from 7,045 last week for a total of 185,204. The PlayStation 3 version added 7,751 pre-orders, up from 4,469 last week, for a total of 83,626. The game is three weeks away from launch in the USA, November 4, 2014.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection (XOne) added 21,587 pre-orders, up from 11,662 last week, for a total of 251,881. The game is four weeks away from launch in the USA, November 11, 2014.
Notable mentions: Pokémon Omega Ruby (3DS) added 42,531 pre-orders for a total of 148,220. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (WiiU) added 40,834 pre-orders for a total of 142,822. The Last Guardian (PS3) entered the charts this week with 54,802 pre-orders.
Requests: Sonic Boom (WiiU) added 1,030 pre-orders for a total of 8,478. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (WiiU) added 1,926 pre-orders for a total of 7,893. Splatoon (WiiU) added 87 pre-orders for a total of 1,929.

It makes me happy that a developer like Platinum gets the sales they deserve for their games.
Smash Bros growth is going up.
SSBU and OR/AS are gaining nicely. I have a feeling OR/AS will be severely under-tracked by these pre-order charts, though. The numbers still seem very miniscule.

@Devil_Survivor, because of niche that doesn't fit Wii U demographics, plus small user base. Just because I (and maybe you) will buy this game doesn't mean a lot of people will.
