Xbox Extends Consultation Period for Arkane Studios - News
by William D'Angelo , posted 8 hours ago / 729 ViewsIt was recently reported Arkane Studios faced a November 13 deadline in its consultation process to find a buyer as it is at risk of a possible closure with 217 jobs at risk.
A Microsoft representative has told PC Gamer the deadline has been extended by an additional month.
"We have extended the consultation period by one additional month as we explore options, including finding a partner to support the studio through the development work still ahead," said the representative. "This is a defined extension, and we remain committed to keeping the Works Council informed throughout the process."
The representative said the documents that reference the planned closure of Arkane if they do not find a buyer "are part of the required consultation process and do not represent a final decision."
Arkane Studios is best known for its work on Dishonored and Deathloop, and has been developing Marvel's Blade for the last several years.

They need to go independent
Maybe Sony should step in and save them.
They should stay independent and get Sony's help to market Blade, and then help fund a new Dark Messiah, like they did with fromsoft for Demon Souls and Bloodborne
