Microsofts third installment of halo is average at best in comparison to its predicesors; new online features make this a must have for any XBOX360 owner. Seems over 50% of the people who bought this game did so on day 1 in the US... in my opinion Single player - 8/10 (too short) Multiplayer - 10/10 (awesome maps) Online - 10/10 (no lag (even though i have an awful connection)) Theatre - 8/10 (needs rewind and skip scene buttons) Forge - 7/10 (..money factor should be removed) ..remember this is my opinion.. i thought this game was gonna be awful when i was a ninty fanboy... then i played it and now im an xbox fanboy :P Message | Report |

The singleplayer mode alternates pretty evenly between unbeliveably epic, attrociously horrible, and meh. Co-op makes it about a million times more fun, especially with 3 or 4 players online. Me and a friend of mine started playing it at 17.00 and were finished by 02.30 even thought we took an hour or so of breaks, so it's not very long either. What the game really is about is the kickass multiplayer. I've only played it on 4 player splitscreen, but even that was so much fun I can't imagine what it would be like online. Especially for the Yanks, who appear to be required by law to demand online multiplayer in every game they play. =P Message | Report |

Every 360 owner who plays online should buy it. If you can co-op and multi it is worth any price, and even the single is fun but co-op is waaaay better. Don't be hatin just cause it's awesome. @ Onimusha12, well im not so sure about that, If you think they were running out of things to do with Halo 3 remember that the only big PS3 (Successful) titles left for release(that I can think of anyway)are on at least version 4 and at worst something like 15 i.e FF.... And Nintendo Pokemon's etc what number are they on now? Little has changed with the above titles but its all about brand name etc and like the titles above Halo has that to....Plus of course most people like Halo because its amazing never ending online game play...... i love halo 3, i would love call of duty more if i had an easy to see ranking system cause when i play it its just like theres no point to go all out in the games. personally, i liked bioshock better than gears and halo becuase fps arte funny in the beginning and end, but boring in the middle, and bioshock has tons of replay value and so many things to do it never gets boring Message | Report |

halo 3 was on ok game. i personally liked the second better because of the levels. i dont quite understand why people think that the halo games are so great i personally would rather play call of duty 2. if xobx and xbox 360 didnt have any of the halo games then xbox and 360 would be a ps2 and a ps3 with worse graphics. but overall wii is the greatest console. Halo 3 is okay, but not great. The maps are crap and the melee system is broken. I'm going back to Gears of War until Unreal Tournament III, Call of Duty 4, and Haze release (I only mentioned shooters, there's alot more games I'll be buying in November as well). While those games hold me over for awhile, new maps will have released for Halo 3 along with updates to fix gameplay. I rated it a 7 because it's just not what I expected. Message | Report |

Is H3 the greatest crafted game ever? No, and that's from a firm 360 fanboy. Is it the most consistent fun, day in and day out, that I've had on my 360? Yes, and I never played online with Halo2. While hunting for Easter eggs, the co-op campaign, and Team Big Battles are loads of fun, the inclusion of Forge, Theater, Bungie.net, Using screenshots as my desktop wallpaper . . . all fantastic, and like the "only 2 weapons" standard, or the "rechargeing shields" standard, I fully expect games developed from here on out to adopt these new ideas in other games. Yes, the Nintendo fanboys can't bear to see their precious games be thwarted by any Halo game. Good to see Metroid Prime is lower than Halo 1 though, that's fitting. Hrm, i also find this site funny, its great to see people start off with sensible comments, suddenly changing to "Your a FANBOY, you know nothing". The game is good, no-one is contesting that, its obviously a good game so if anyone is saying it isnt please shut up. For all of you out there who say it is the best game of the year, please say 'so far' and please say in your opinion because no game can claim that for someone else. Basically it is good but its achievements are lowered due to a short campaign (yes i've played and beaten it in Legendary). Because its a Halo game, people are going to be defensive about any criticisms against it but for GODS sake, please understand that everyone has different preferences and that the game ISNT perfect. Timesplitters is, and always has been, a pathetic mediocre, below average shooter where the enemies are generic and seem to be constructed out of playdoh. Or perhaps that's just because their art department sucks so much ass. Halo on the other hand, is a ton of fun online. If you like Half life and that soap opera bullshit, go play your 3000 dollar PC rig and have fun with it. We could care less. Sure Gears of War and Call of Duty 4 are better in basically every way. But Halo is still far, far more polished and fun than the average shooter. Play Rainbow Six vegas and tell me its better than Halo 3. No non retarded person could say that. Message | Report |

its funny how many people will rate this game a 1 and never even played it dont even own a 360. oh I played halo at a friends house and when he pwned me teabagged me I went home crying and gave it a 1 on this site and for spite gave metroid a 10 cause I own in single player on nood mode. stop with my graphics are better then ps3 and 360. just play your games and rate them. this game has a decent campaign if you want difficulty play it on legendary by yourself. that will take sometime coop finding secrets xboxlive forge and theatre saving your best games online and sharing with your friends. it has plenty of options but maybe you prefer flailing your wiimote all hours of the night. I have all 3 nex gen consoles love them all xbox haredcore online amazing 1st person shooters wii family fun wii sports wii play matchgame sick zelda was a 10 just like halo 3 oh ya ps3 is a good blurayplayer till MGS4 hits ya I know heavenly sword lair rentals. The milti-player is nothing revolutionary. It's fun LANing with lots of mates but i remember games like perfect dark multi being way more fun as it was such a big leap for its gen. No one game can claim the title of "Best Game". Personally, I love the Halo series for the storyline. In this aspect I think it beats out many first person shooters. I know that I will be playing this game for a long time, mainly due to the huge online community. Sure most of them are screaming kids, but if you can look past that point, the multiplayer is the most balanced for any gaming console. They toned down the auto aim enough that skill is back in the equation. And it wont be long until we get some great maps and game types to download from bungie.net. Keep in mind that all of them will be player-made variants. I've also heard rumors that Bungie will be bringing back clans. This will just keep getting bigger. Message | Report |

Yea i guess this game isnt that special or good. being as its sold 3.5+ million copies, people dont just buy a game because its advertised and if they due that ludacris, this game is one of the best FPS of all time, hands down. I have both a PS3 and the 360, and truthfully FPS suck on PS3 i hated Resistance, it was just so generic, fear looked like ass on my ps3 so i rented it for 360 looked and felt alot better, and all call of duties are ok, 4 will be amazing, but honestly halo 3 just did it for me, i played it on legendary and it was superb, the legendary ending is awesome too, and the multiplayer, yea i like halo 2's more but i said that same thing abouyt halo 1 when 2 came out so it will prolly grow on me but who knows, so to those of you who arnt giving this game credit, c'mon Message | Report |

If this game is SO GREAT, what's up with all of the excess advertisement? It was just barely borderline with Halo brand tampons. Besides, being a huge first person shooter fan, I can honestly say that Halo is mediocre compared to most other shooters. If anything, games like TimeSplitters beat out Halo when it comes to overall campaign length, number of weapons, difficulty, unlockables, features, and even imagination. Even the multiplayer was better, as you spent more time shooting then walking around looking for something to shoot. Also, why haven't they fixed up the matchmaking yet so you can actually choose what maps you want to play? Message | Report |

Does VGC count all versions of this game? Looking back at old NPD data, USA first year is severely under tracked. NPD has it at 4.82 million in the first year, VGC is 4.24 million. Unless VGC put those missing sales in 2008, Halo 3 could already be at 12.5 million. Message | Report |
