Although I should say that 2 million is a great achievement for a game like this anyways. Everything it gets from here on out is jsut a nice bonus. This should be past 1 million in the EU fairly soon. 2 million worldwide when the new numbers get released and then it's on towards 3. This game should have great legs... could see a nice boost towards Christmas time in 09 as well. I know that's far away right now but this is the type of title that with new content constantly coming out should continue to do well for a long time. The game will just keep growing. I'm pretty sure the bundles aren't counted in these totals, the only place it got real bundles with every console was in Japan for a limited time. Bundle sales are hard to keep track of unless the game comes with every single unit like the 360's Kung Fu Panda/Lego Indiana Jones and the Wii's Wii Sports. LBP is in select bundles, certainly not in enough to contribute hugely to the total sales that VG is showing. This site doesn't normally count limited time bundles. Only the all-out permanent ones. It's selling ~22k weekly in both NA and EU after the Holidays. At the same time in it's life, Uncharted was selling ~12-15k weekly. Uncharted still managed to sell over a million in 2008. its fine with SOnic the hedgehog then & Donkey Kong country & Megaman 2.....as you didn't have 3D Platformers then...or 3D games. LBP has done something in a 3D age which no other 2D platformer did....cept for ofcourse New Super Mario Bros which is a legendary success....& LBP will be nowhere near it sales wise. my 5 year old nephew was obsessed with this game for 2 weeks when he visited. He was real bad at first but he picked up on it really fast and did decent towards the end of his stay. My sister was laughing and cracking up at this game. She said she has never seen a game like this before (as in how bizarre it was). Can't wait for the last weeks numbers. alicemudgarden I've read in the PS3 owners manual that if the system is overheating the screen will turn red. I do not know if this is the wallpaper or in the actual game. Besides the weird piece about the pod data in LBP, it sounds to me like your system is overheating. Message | Report |

I had this weird glitch happen to me in LBP today. When the game was loading, the black background screen turned red. It finished loading but wouldn't go into the game, and my PS3 froze. I restarted it, and went into the game. It got to my pod, but after a few seconds, everything was covered in a transparent red. A message came up saying "Problem loading data, clearing your pod may fix it. Press X to clear your pod now". So I press X, but the game/ps3 was frozen, so it did not reset my pod. After restarting my ps3, I went into the game again. The loading screens were normal, and my pod seemed to be ok. So I went into a level, but then after a while, everything turned red and froze up again. I left it alone for a while, and it seems to be fine now. Any ideas about what happened? Can having too much crap in your pod cause the game to freeze up and crash your ps3? Message | Report |

This game just keeps getting better and better. The mgs pack came out days ago and people already have some great levels with the paint gun implemented. I played an absolutely epic zelda themed level earlier tonight that raised my expectations for flushed-out high quality levels. The content I've enjoyed was made with access to the level editor a couple months or less. Imagine what people will make in the next 6 months. Message | Report |

Those, who think, that bundles in Europe are included - are dellusional fanboys. If you people think, that in casual friendly Europe and in region where PS3 sold most only selling 50k more, than in NA, should think again. Last 2 weeks: NA - 61k and 94k. Eur - 118k and 139k. No they shouldn't revise it. We have higher sales because we actually tracked the sales Gamestop did before the release. NPD didn't. That's fine for NPD. But those copies sold however you look at it unless the way your looking at it is that you want it to sell less cuz your a 360 fanboy. mausenheimer, NPD didn't track or estimate all of the leaked sales. Gamestop for one sold the game 3 days before the release date and many people bought this game then when the numbers were not being tracked. considering its averaging 100k+ a week, 1.5 million is likely(if legs hold), also I wouldnt be suprised if sales slowly rise, because of the bundle which just released in the UK, added to that the bundle in Japan should see an increase in sales thanks to WKC, and the holiday season in japan. Unfortunately a quirky game. This game is fun for short time. Sales are showing that its a niche title though. 5 weeks out in N.A. and less than 7% of PS3 owners have bought it. I bet that this game will sell pretty consistently over a long period of time. i think its less then predicted sales is because Sony had so many games coming out this fall they they were practically sitting on top of each other i wish they would have spread the games out more so it didn't hurt my wallet like it did at one time. I honestly think one reason why it doesnt sell better is that the commercials in Europe (at least GE) do not make sense. There is one where a "cool" surfer sackboy dude talks about laying the ladies with his moves.... Then there is one where in the level a dog gets killed (dont try this at home höhöhö).... the guys who made these commercials need to be fired. they are not targetting any audience, rather scaring away any kind of audience. 0.73m is not bad if you look at it Uncharted it's first three weeks it sold around 410.000 and that also as one extra week in others. all in all for a new IP it's doing well. Message | Report |

The game should really have sold 10 million by now, for anyone who owns a ps3 this game is a must buy. It appeals to anyone! And it is so hilariously awesome, it's pulled me away from all of my shooters atleast until Resistance comes out here : / Message | Report |

GOTY for me. I just love innovation and for this game has it in spades. Also, with the already large amount of great online levels the re-play value is looking very good. I don't think Sony marketed it well, though. It needed a very family/fun campaign and also to make clear the amount of free online content available if you want to access it. If I was Sony I'd get an ad out showing the best made levels and get some interest drummed up for Christmas. They should also have an LBP Christmas bundle with a Sackboy (or Sackgirl) soft toy. My 3 top responses were : "The beta sucked", "Its so kiddy", and "There are better games out there, like COD, and Fallout".
