of course DP have sold more than B/W in Japan, B/W have been out, what 28 weeks, while DP have been out for 4 years. Although DP wont have sold in great volumes recently they will still have sold. Give B/W chance to be able to make a fair comparison. toastboy also has a point, I bought both Diamond and Pearl in 2007 but have only bought White now. If a large number of people you used to buy both stop doing so it will impact on the sales Message | Report |

Actually the ACCUMULATED sales are still higher in Japan than with D/P. Also, US/EMEAA sales are blowing D/P out of the water right now. That's why I can confidently predict sales totals to be 20m or more by the time Generation 6 is released. Message | Report |

@vamp, i don't think that will happen, 20M is a huge amount, there was a time of pokeon craze, red/blue/yellow sales over 30M, and gold/silver soled over 21M, on a single platform. which is a great thing, i don't think the history will repeat, because 20M is huge, yeah, 6th gen will definitely, and it will be on 3ds, but i'd say even the 6th gen game wouldn't make 20M Message | Report |

@Vamp2193 Personally, cant see that happening as Game Freak may find it hard to replicate the quality into the title. But putting things into perspective ALL the main Pokemon games have has huge sales. Even Rugby and Sapphire with 15 million, which not a small figure. @spooky96 It is hardly surprising despite the quality of the games. There used to be large gaps in between releases, such as between Emerald (the last game in the 3rd Gen) and Diamond and Pearl (the first games in the 4th Gen). However, since 2009 there has been a new edition every year. An overall sales declining is to be expected. Message | Report |

Let's see... By MC, next week puts it at 4.8m. Week after, DP in 06 boosted from 230k to 415k so this can go up to 200k, putting it at 5m. After that, DP fell quite a bit, but I think this'll hold better because it'll be hyped as a game to go with the 3DS, so it can still outdo DP and get to around 6.5m in Japan. In the West, this should be significantly larger, pushing it to over 20m, :D. Or so I hope. Message | Report |

Gameplay's quite entertaining. I'm only a little way past the first gym, but it definitely is the first major step forward in PKMN gameplay ever since breeding was introduced. Powerleveling is a whole different beast nowadays. Visually, it sometimes seems like there's too much going on, esp. with battle scenes constantly moving around. Message | Report |
