LEGO has become a huge property in the video game world over the last few years. Beginning with 2005's LEGO Star Wars, there have been a succession of profitable and well-reviewed games pairing the timeless childhood toys with big Hollywood properties like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Batman.

LEGO expanded their games with LEGO Universe back in October. LEGO Universe is a massively multiplayer online game that covers many of the LEGO settings and pieces sold in stores over the years. Well, starting today, that experience will be free-to-play for a few limited zones. This means the entire game won't be available for free-to-play players, but should give a good taste of what LEGO Universe has to offer.
