The ToV movie, Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike, is now in full release across Japan.
There was a celebratory creator-talk session held earlier this week. At the event was Kanta Kamei, the Director of First Strike. Along with him were Production I.G producer Hidekazu Terakawa, Namco Bandai Games general manager Makoto Yoshizumi, and Tales of Vesperia producer Yoshito Higuchi.
During the event, question's were asked regarding a sequel to the much loved game. Yoshizumi revealed that during staff meetings, he would be asked about a possible sequel by the staff where they would simply ask him :
"Will you be making Vesperia 2?"
To which he would reply...
"Don't talk like a fan!."
"It appears that within the company there's a desire to make part 2. We're thinking about it."
There could also be a sequel to the movie. Yoshizumi said they have already got idea's in place for if they were to make a 2nd film.
It looks like the Tales of Vesperia story is far from over.

I hope they'll include a love story in this one.
Finished Vesperia some time ago and I have no idea how they could make a sequel to it... The ending was very conclusive.
Great news, a great RPG.
I loved Vesperia... but where can the story go from here? They've already fought the biggest fight imaginable. >_>
As soon I saw the logo, my heart skipped a beat thinking it was the localized version.

Put it on the 360 and PS3 the same time around this time so both sides will be happy.

Ditto! I'd love a full fledged sequel treatment that Dawn of the New World should have gotten.
Carl remember you need to pay me $1000 everytime you make a news article based on my thread!
OT I WANT TOV IN PS3 UK FIRST!
@c0rd
I agree completely. If it's going to get the low budget sequel that Symphonia received, they shouldn't bother. If it's going to get a proper sequel, my $60 is theres on the first day of release.
Vesperia 2, YES PLEASE.
Tales of Vesperia for PS3 is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd definitely want a Vesperia 2, as long as it doesn't get the spin-off treatment.
