It was reported yesterday Take-Two might be looking at a release for Grand Theft Auto VI in 2023, a full 10 years after the release of Grand Theft Auto V, according to investment firm Stephens analyst Jeff Cohens. The company was looking to more than double its marketing spending for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024 to $89 million.

However, a Take-Two representative has told GamesIndustry the increased spending on marketing in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024 "reflects marketing commitments made to third-party companies."

Rockstar Games is an internal studio and would not be a third-party company, which does mean the increased spending on marketing is not due to to Grand Theft Auto VI.
