Cyberpunk 2077 Will Have 'No Less DLC Than The Witcher 3 Had' - News

CD Projekt president Adam Kiciński in an  investor Q&A  confirmed their upcoming game, Cyberpunk 2077, will have "no less DLC than The Witcher 3 had."

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt had two story expansions and 16 DLC packs following its released in May 2015. The game also saw two free DLC release every week for the first two months after release. The Witcher 3 DLC packs included five quests, new weapons, new armor, cosmetics, and more. Cyberpunk 2077 having a similar amount of post-release content would be most welcome.

Kiciński added fans should expect "a similar scenario to The Witcher 3." DLC packs were announced three months ahead of released, while expansions were details a few weeks before release.

Here is an overview of the game:

In the most dangerous megacity of the future, the real you is not enough. Become V, a cyber-enhanced mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant — the key to immortality. Customize your cyberware and skillset, and explore a vast city of the future obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. The choices you make will determine the story and shape the world around you.

Cyberpunk 2077 will launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC on September 17.

The Witcher 3 had the best DLC of any game, ever. So, that's a big promise right there.

Expectations are insanely high for this game, and CDPR has not tried to tamp down on them. I sure hope they can deliver. At this point, if the game was just very good, it would be seen as something of a disappointment. Gamers are expecting excellence.

Agreed. The Witcher 3 set the bar so high, its hard to believe that cyberpunk is supposed to surpass it in every way

Can't wait. I love the Blade Runner movies and world and this is almost a Blade Runner game.

Post continued: sorry about that but when I hit space for some reason the post was sent , and we can't edit here , so to finish when you can almost see the scissor cuts when playing DLC that's when I draw the line.

My most anticipated game! Can't wait to see what CDPR can do with the world of this old tabletop game!

I should have known that people would be happy once again to buy an incomplete game. The devs must really be laughing when the see people thanking them for skipping content at release to include them later and making them payable.

Surely you must be trolling?

Hahahahahahaha!!! Dude, Cyberpunk is going to be as complete as Skyrim, Starcraft, or Civ V at launch. The DLC packs they add in later truly are DLC packs, and not held back content. CDPR does things in the manner of old PC titles from 20 years ago, where they finish a game, ship it, and then start working on even more content for the game. And that extra content amounts to an entirely new game.

I stand some what in the middle . I deplore day one DLC , but don't mind considered DLC , yes i would rather they and others put their effort into a proper expansion especially when they have multiple DLC packs , I also understand that unlike yesteryear DLC is no longer something that gets envisioned after release and quite often was shaped by devs looking at gamer feedback and comments and giving them more story to come back too. having said that as long as a developer has a complete game and is far enough along that they can afford to move the creative side onto designing new scenarios for DLC without impacting the main game That's fine but when you can almost see where the siccors
