PS3 did 10.4M, Wii did 12.6M - easy to beat. But 3DS did 24M...

So basically it took 3DS seven years to reach 24m, and with Switch at 10 mil in less then 3 years...it would seem that Switch is on track to match those numbers at least.

That makes these numbers even more impressive actually. It will be interesting to see how the following years develop.

I expected it to blow through the other consoles. From what I've read Japan prefers mobile gaming.

Considering that the Switch did in less than 2 years what it took the PS3 about 8 to achive, it is blowong through the other consoles. It is right on track to match the other portable systems over there, so I have no idea where you get the idea that it is not ahead of everything else on the market.

Add your reply...@Shiken Agreed but I don't understand why you think I said it wasn't ahead of everything else on the market. In fact I agree with your whole post. Like I said I expected the switch to blow through the other consoles. Japan clearly prefers to game on the go this has long been established.

I apologize, as I misinterpreted your comment. Probably shouldn't have, as you were pretty clear with what you said.

My bad, I do that from time to time.
