Today, via the Chinese social media site Weibo, a user who is identified as one of the concept art designers on Alice: Return to Madness announced/leaked the news that indie developer Spicy Horse is set to close down later this week.
Spicy Horse is an indie studio that was created by American McGee and which is based in Shanghai, China. The company is best known for creating American McGee’s Grim and Alice: Madness Returns.

That's too bad. I enjoyed the vision American McGee had for the Alice games, even if they needed to up the gameplay mechanics a bit.
they pulled off some fantastic art and imagery in their games for sure. I actually think they translated "Alice in Wonderland" quite well to combat too with the pepper gun, vaporal blade, umbrella, etc.
too bad, Alice Madness Returns is an amazing game and one of the only EA produced games I've really dug in a long time :O :/
Sad news one of the last good EA games wont see a sequel
Guess going mobile didn't save them... Never played any of their games nor heard of any of them except Madness Returns.
