Destiny Sales Top 5.4 Million Units in 2 Weeks - News

Destiny had the biggest launch in 2014 selling more than 4.5 million units worldwide and more than 2.4 million units in the US in its first week. Second week sales are in and it sold another 891,651 units across all platforms. That brings the total sales over two week to 5.44 million units.

The PlayStation 4 version of Destiny has sold about half the total units with 2.66 million units. The Xbox One version has sold 1.61 million units, the Xbox 360 version 687,701 units, and the PlayStation 3 version 486,622 units.

Destiny has broken several records since its launch. It had the biggest launch in the UK for a new IP in history and sold $325 million worth of units worldwide in its first five days.

Well congrats to Bungie they were able to sell a substantial amount you got to remember they took a risk. Leaving Microsoft exclusives introducing a brand new game siding with PlayStation when there market has always been Microsoft

Looks like sales are already slowing down pretty fast. Especially with all the mediocre reviews it was a short lived hype. Some people including me expected this game to stay high in the charts all the way through the holidays but it seems like that's not going to happen.

terrible game god save us all from marketing. and misguided consumers. how can this game have such bad awful reviews and sell that well it begets me. Sony are deceivers. no wonder they are going bankrupt.

All my friends got this for the PS4 I was just about to buy it too but then I watched Twitch. In my personal opinion I did not see the appeal in it at all it felt like bargain brand Star Wars to me. If they add more customizing features like height/weight though id definitely buy
