THQ Cancels Saints Row Expansion, Lowers Revenue by $20M - News

THQ has announced it has lowered its expected revenue by $20 million for its current fiscal year. THQ also mentioned that it could mean an extra $0.03 drop per share, compared to what was previous given.
The drop in revenue is due the cancelling of the Saints Row: The Third expansion Enter The Dominatrix will not be released. THQ president explained that the expansion will be incorporated into the fourth Saints Row game, instead of being a standalone expansion.
"I asked the team what it could achieve given more time, more resources, and a broader scope for the project. We all agreed we wanted to play that game," said THQ president Jason Rubin. "We believe the potential for this sequel is far greater as a full-priced, full-length, high quality, connected experience."

homefront 2 is looking amazing, lets just hope the original game didn't do so poorly that people won't get the second.

This comes unexpeted even for them, and it's not a good sign.
I enjoy THQ games so I really hope they pull through. I hope a next Homefront game gets Rubin's focus more than next Saint's Row game.
its a good idea...delay the game 6-12 months to make it a full game which will increase future revenue and sales. and with Rubin running the show now, you know it wont be short changed....also says that THQ is doing good financially. If they couldn't afford it then they wouldnt take the chance this close to bankruptcy...think about it
It's inevitable, no way THQ avoids bankruptcy.
that's a lit even if it is a funny one. here's how it really went : hey if you don't turn this "expansion" into a proper "sequel", THQ will cease to exist as a company, so.... go!
