Looks like Vgchartz were really inaccurate with FFXIII-2's number.

Also how on earth did they track 28 DS Lites?

People need to understand that the PSP will be outselling the Vita for a very long time except at times when big titles are released. The PS2 was still outselling the PS3 and PSP in 2009. This is something like that. Journalists placing such a strong emphasis over the PSP outselling the Vita is essentially sensationalism, and personally to me it shows a lack of research which is the cornerstone of their jobs. Also this isn't an attack on VGChartz, this is in reference to the plethora of Articles plastered all over the internet in regards to this.

Yeah, but *you* have to understand that a new product, especially a much-hyped videogame system, being outsold by its predecessor on a regular basis, especially so close after launching, is very much unexpected and well worth reporting. Just because it happpened to Sony before does not make it irrelevant, it just shows that the new product is underperforming, and that previous products have done the same. And let's not kid ourselves here, Vita IS underperforming, both Sony, its fans and industry professionals had previously expected it to do much better. than it actually seems to be doing now.
