Why did they reduce the preorders list from 50 to 30? We want to see all 50!

Meh, this week in Pre-Order charts is kind of boring since all the games aren't really competing, they have awhile before release. Still! Nice to see FFXIII-2 sales climbing. =D

The Old Republic is amazing for a pc game in the USA!
Mass Effect 3 also makes me happy.

There were no pre-order incentive for FFXIII. There are for FFXIII-2 which might explain the stronger pre-orders.

Typical back to 30. C$ck teasers giving us 50 for a couple of months then taking it away again!

WTF is Rugby World Cup doing in the USA pre-orders charts? Only 30 people in the country know what Rugby is, and that's the national squad. :-D

Interesting to see FFXIII-2 getting decent pre-orders on PS3. The masses must have liked XIII a wee bit, either that or word is getting around that XIII-2 is a lot better.

Will be very happy when I see ME3 (PS3) break 100K pre-orders. My most hyped game now that the best of the 2011 games have launched.

As I said in a earlier post, SWTOR has a lot of digital preorders through EA's Origin service so players can get early access. There was a snafu with Walmart preorders where a lot of people said they got an email from walmart saying they were out of early access codes (they since have corrected it) and pissed a lot of people off. Myself and a lot of others I talked to on the forums said they went with the Origins service to make sure of their early access.

I really hope twisted metal sales will pick up. And possibly have more hype as well. FF13-2 sales look great. Halo 4 and Mass Effect 3 will sell like hotcakes for sure.

SW:TOR is surprising.

Thanks for the FFXIII vs FFXIII-2 chart!! I hope FFXIII-2 keeps up the pace and outsells the 1st one, it would be a great step to prove the haters wrong.

FFXIII-2 will sell way less than FFXIII

I hope Mass Effect 3 (X360) will end up reaching 600,000 pre-orders..

It really might!

Also the SWTOR Collector's edition is sold out everywhere online - including Origins store. The only place to get it is Amazon for $350 from individuals.

Do we have any Vita data yet? I see none are in the top 30 or even close. But do we have anything to look at?

Star Wars the old Republic is an amazing game . Every gamer must play it !

JaxxRaxor (on 13 December 2011)

I think The Old Republic has the potential to crowd out all of the non-WoW, premimum subscription based MMOs after it launches. More and more MMOs are going from subscription to free to play, and Old Republic can help fill in the void and not allow World of Warcraft to be completely unchallenged.

Galvanizer (on 13 December 2011)

The only reason FFXIII-2 has more pre-orders is because there is a Limited Edition version in the USA that comes with DLC that will be impossible to get on PSN and Xbox Live after launch. The DLC is exclusively for the Limited Edition edition of the game. The original FFXIII had no Limited Edition with exclusive DLC so nobody saw the desperate need to pre-order and make sure they get the Limited Edition version.

FFXIII-2 will sell well Day 1 due to pre-orders but will most likely drop like a rock the following weeks. People still have a strong point when they say FFXIII-2 will sell less than FFXIII. It's indeed very possible.

Having said that, it's fucking amazing to see Mass Effect 3 doing so well in pre-orders when it doesn't even have a Limited Edition version with DLC. The IP has really grown thanks to the critical acclaim of Mass Effect 2.

Hmm I see Halo 4 is already at #7 when its coming out like November 2012. All they did was show a teaser for the game.....
Grand Theft Auto V has a full trailer and not even in Top 30....

France and Germany are the only other big markets for MMOs, well UK too but they have all the nationalities on their servers (lots of nordic people).
US still accounts for 60% of the total number of servers (forgot where the link is, but in a few hours, the official server list should be populated with the EU servers too http://www.swtor.com/server-status .... unless BW pulls an other of their last minute announcements "oh, the 13th start date was US only, sorry, we forgot to mention it".... you recieve an email on the day you get into the early acess... not before...)
