Weekly Fighting Game Roundup September 6, 2011

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Weekly Fighting Game Roundup. This week hasn't been overly exciting, but you can't really say that it's been dull either. First off, Cross Counter TV have posted a continuation of the Runnin' Sets episode featured last week, where Combofiend and Clockw0rk face off in Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.

Capcom showed some new character teasers for Street Fighter x Tekken in anticipation of Tokyo Game Show, which is taking place between September 15th and September 18th this year. Keeping their trend of making the teasers more and more ambiguous, these have actually started quite a bit of discussion. However, the general consensus is that the Tekken character being teased is Heihachi, while the Street Fighter character being teased is Rolento, originally from Final Fight, who made his fighting game debut back in Street Fighter Alpha 2. Watch both teasers below and draw your own conclusions. Capcom also showed off the boxart for the upcoming game, which you can find in our gallery attached to this article.

Besides that, we mostly have more material from the guys over at Cross Counter. First off, a new episode of the titular show, Cross Counter, which this week features Gootecks and, instead of Mike Ross, Combofiend. This episode covers the Penny Arcade Expo, Summer Jam 5 and some other stuff. Check it out below.

Over in Singapore, Xian and Zhi have been keeping busy as well, bringing us a new episode of Cross Counter Asia, which is viewable below.

Beyond that, we have yet another episode of Runnin' Sets, this time with Mike Ross and Flash Metroid resuming their battle, only this time they're moving over from Super Street Fighter IV to Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

And finally, to leave you with something supremely entertaining, LiangHuBBB has released a new comeback compilation, featuring the most fierce comebacks he's found in the latest month. Enjoy a whole fifteen minutes of epic comebacks below.

That's all we have this week, but thank you for reading this week's entry, and please keep supporting the Weekly Fighting Game Roundup!
